People counting solutions designed to produce useful data
Measuring an entrance or exit is only the beginning. My People Counter combines counting technologies suited to each environment with analytics that turn visitor traffic into actionable indicators. The right sensor, in the right place, to produce the right data.
Measure. Understand. Decide.
A counting solution delivers its full value when it answers a business question. How many visitors? At what times? In which areas? How is traffic changing? What is the impact on sales, teams, reception or space usage?
◎ Measure
Entrances, exits, passages, visitor traffic, occupancy or flows depending on the site configuration.
▦ Understand
Track history and compare periods, sites and zones to explain variations.
↗ Decide
Turn data into KPIs tailored to your activity and operational objectives.
⌁ Connect
Export or integrate data into your business tools to enrich your own analyses.
One measurement standard, different business uses
The relevant KPIs are not the same for a store, shopping centre, museum or library. Our solutions therefore start with the use case before selecting the technology.
Retail & store networks
Conversion, revenue per visitor, staffing, store comparison and network performance.
Shopping centres
Attractiveness, entrances, flows by access point or zone, peaks and visitor trends.
Museums, parks & leisure
Visitor traffic, occupancy, visitor journeys, events, weather and seasonality.
Public buildings & companies
Occupancy, space usage, opening hours, zones and visitor trends.
Two counting technologies, selected for your environment
We do not impose a single technology. The choice depends on the required accuracy, mounting height, passage width, flows, environment and the indicators to be produced.
3D sensors — our reference technology
3D is preferred when accuracy and counting robustness are critical: high flows, complex passages, occupancy requirements or demanding business indicators. Very high accuracy; reliable entrance and exit analysis; suitable for complex and multi-flow environments; a solid basis for performance and occupancy KPIs.
2D sensors — a relevant alternative
2D is suitable where a simpler approach is sufficient. It provides usable visitor data with rapid deployment and controlled economics. Suitable for some simple passages; rapid deployment; cost-effective approach depending on requirements; data usable in the associated platform.
The sensor produces the data. OPTEIO centralises, stores and analyses it so that it becomes genuinely useful to your teams. Hour/day/week/month/year analyses; site and period comparisons; real-time occupancy where applicable; weather context; reports and exports; Excel export and API integration; multi-site view for networks and groups.
Which solution for your site?
The accuracy of a counting project depends as much on sensor choice as on positioning and configuration quality. We assess access points, heights, widths, flows and required KPIs before defining the architecture.
1. Your environment
Indoor or outdoor, height, passage width, lighting, technical constraints and site architecture.
2. Your flows
Visitor volume, directions of travel, simultaneous passages, zones or entrances to consolidate.
3. Your indicators
Visitor traffic, occupancy, conversion, comparisons, ratios or business data to cross-reference.
4. Your operations
Number of sites, users, exports, API, reporting and supervision requirements.
Frequently asked questions about people counting solutions
What is the difference between a 2D and a 3D sensor?
3D provides more robust measurement in demanding or complex environments. 2D can be relevant when the passage and requirement are simpler. The choice depends on the site and expected indicators.
Can several entrances or zones be counted?
Yes. Several sensors can be consolidated to produce total visitor traffic while retaining analysis by entrance, zone or site.
Is OPTEIO a sensor?
No. OPTEIO is the software platform associated with the sensors. It centralises and enhances counting data to turn it into actionable analyses and indicators.
Can we retrieve the data in our own tools?
Yes. Depending on the project, data can be exported or integrated via API to feed your business tools, dashboards or reporting systems.
